To secure your berth, a payment of 50 percent deposit is to be paid to Pitcairn Travel.  All payments are due on invoices sent to you by Pitcairn Travel.  Although we offer to assist with bookings for flights and accommodation, payment is to be made direct to the booking agent or supplier.

All payments will be non-refundable.  In the event of cancellation of the charter by the Client, the Client will have neither right nor recourse for reimbursement.  However in the event of cancellation by Pitcairn Travel, Pitcairn Travel will make every effort to obtain a replacement charter or reimburse the charter fare paid by the client to Pitcairn Travel.  However, it is strongly advised that the Client take out suitable “Trip Cancellation Insurance’ for this eventuality.

Expeditions Unlimited Inc. will provide a Skipper with prior experience of the area throughout the duration of the Charter. It will be understood by the Client that the Skipper decisions will be final with regards safety of the vessel in matters of weather, navigation, when and where to shelter and with respect to all matters of safety for the Client while aboard and while using the auxiliary boats including the timing and duration of trips ashore.  Once ashore, however, the Client shall be responsible for their own safety.

Expeditions Unlimited Inc. agrees to cover all vessel running costs once the Charter clients are on board.

Included within the price:

• Accommodation
• Linen: Synthetic duvet with cover, pillow, pillow case and towel
• Wet weather gear: pants and jackets.
• Offshore PFD and harness
• Quality food, beverages, (wine, beer spirits not included)
• Use of communication equipment, satellite phone and email (does not include transmission costs: please see communications agreement)
• 110v, 220v and 12v power for charging electronics (such as computer, cell phone, camera, iPod, etc.) please check your owner’s manual for specifics
• Diesel and consumables for yacht and inflatable operation.

Not included:

• Boots, sailing and shore foot wear
• All clothing (see recommended equipment list)
• Food for onshore
• Alcohol, beer, wine or spirits
• Transmission costs for satellite phone calls and email connections (see communication agreement)
• Whilst In port any activities, excursions, purchases and onshore food and entertainment

Expeditions Unlimited Inc. covenants to keep the vessel fully insured against total loss and fire and collision damage including third party for the term of this Charter.  The policy does not, however, cover the Client’s personal protection and indemnity during the term of this Charter.  Any personal protection and indemnity insurance shall be the Client’s responsibility and at their expense. The Client will be required to produce proof of travel and personal medical insurance including evacuation coverage for the term of the Charter.  The Client will also be required to sign a Release of Claims and Waiver of Liability.

In case of a medical problem arising during the voyage, either onboard or on shore, which results in costs for evacuation, use of aircraft or repatriation, the responsibility for payment of these costs belongs solely to the Client. Pitcairn Travel and Expeditions Unlimited Inc. strongly advise that the Client ensure that such eventualities are covered by travel insurance.  If not covered by travel insurance the responsibility still remains with the Client and Pitcairn Travel and Expeditions Unlimited Inc. specifically decline any responsibility whatsoever.

In case of missed travel connections and their consequences for the Client, for whatever reason including, but not limited to break downs, weather, force majeure, political difficulties with local authorities and acts of war, Pitcairn Travel and Expeditions Unlimited Inc. will not be held responsible.  For this reason it is strongly advised that the Client make travel arrangements that are fully flexible.

Note:  It is mandatory for all visitors to Pitcairn Islands to have travel insurance including medical evacuation cover.
